• ONE: Choose one of these prompts, and freewrite about it for 10 minutes.

    • Wait for "Untitled" to appear, then click on this non-title and paste your copied prompt in for your title.

  1. Write about something that you are a fan of... What's been happening lately?

  1. What people, words, music, ideas, posters, pictures…make you mad (‘piss you off’)
  2. Dreams you’ve had: recurring, best or worst
  3. Things you are proud of
  4. Choose one of your "10 self / 10 world" questions.

  1. Something you care about or don’t know why it’s a big deal (i.e. inter-racial dating)
  2. A horrible or hurtful thing someone said to you & why it hurts

  • TWO: After you have been freewriting for 10 minutes, write a focused sentence. Write one perfectly-worded sentence that captures everything you wrote in your freewrite.

  • THREE: Freewrite again. This time start with your Focused Sentence. That sentence should be the first one of a new freewrite.

  • FOUR: Copy your text into Microsoft Word to check grammar and spelling. Make other changes as well, to make this the best you can make it. Once it is perfect, copy it back into Google Docs.

  • SIX: Save Image As...

** Right-click on the image
    • Click Save Image As...
    • Make sure you save it in your Images folder.

  • SEVEN: Insert Image into your Google Doc.
    • Put the cursor on the line where you want your image to appear.
    • Click the Insert tab, then the Image link.
    • Browse to find and upload your image. (Be sure it is a .jpg)
    • In Layout:
      Alignment: Right or Left - Horizontal: 10 - Vertical: 10
    • Click Ok.

  • EIGHT: Write the following at the bottom of your post.
    Image Source: "Title," By Photographer.
    Put a link under the title to where the photograph is online. (Right-click on the image, and Copy Image Location.)
    (This is all made easier by Flickrlilli. All you have to do is Click for the Details, beside then copy three lines under Summary. Finally paste these three lines at the bottom of your Google Doc.)

* NINE: Freewritie again about your topic, this time about the image and what it means to you, given your freewriting topic and focused sentence. Check this section in Microsoft Word too.

  • TEN: Create a New Post on your Blog by copying all from Google Docs and Pasting it into the Text Body.
    Be sure to have the following:
  • Good, unique, clever, come-read-me title
  • 5+ tags or keywords
  • Access Restriction: Public
